Academic Tutor – Empowering Students from KS1 to Post-16
Location: Various settings across the region (Schools, Homes, & Public Spaces)
Pay Rate: £28.00 – £33.00 per hour (P.A.Y.E only)
Hours: Flexible (1 to 15 hours per week)
The Role: Impactful, Tailored Learning
Are you passionate about helping students overcome academic hurdles and find their confidence? We are looking for dedicated Academic Tutors to deliver high-quality, 1:1 or small-group sessions in Maths, English, and Science.
This is more than just teaching; it is about building a meaningful connection. You will work with students from Year 1 through to Post-16, delivering curriculum-aligned support that focuses on both academic success and the development of vital social skills.
Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Excellence: Deliver engaging sessions in core subjects (Maths, English, and/or Science) in line with the current UK National Curriculum.

Personalised Planning: Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student.

Inclusive Education: Adapt your approach for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring learning is accessible and inclusive for all.

Holistic Support: Foster a positive environment that builds a student's self-esteem and social development.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent contact with families to report on progress and celebrate "small wins."
What We're Looking For

Proven Experience: A track record of delivering effective tuition in core academic subjects.

Curriculum Knowledge: A strong, up-to-date understanding of the UK National Curriculum.

SEN Expertise: Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

Relationship Builders: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one immediately).
