Account Manager
Up to £30,000 base salary + £14,400 OTE
Leeds City Centre
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Account Manager to join a growing commercial team. This role focuses on managing and developing relationships with an existing portfolio of customers, driving retention, renewals, and revenue growth through exceptional account management and customer engagement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring customers achieve maximum value from the services and solutions provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and successfully close renewal opportunities within an assigned customer portfolio.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to strengthen relationships and support long-term retention.
- Achieve or exceed revenue targets through effective account management and identification of up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Identify customer challenges, business needs, and opportunities to demonstrate value.
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience through consistent and proactive engagement.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, forecasting, and reporting in line with company processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Success, and Strategic functions to share customer feedback and market insights.
- Stay informed on industry trends and provide customers with relevant thought leadership and market knowledge.
- Support the continuous improvement of customer engagement strategies and commercial activities.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a B2B sales, account management, customer success, or customer service environment.
- Proven ability to retain, grow, and develop existing customer accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert revenue opportunities.
- Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving targets and objectives.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to use data and customer insights to drive commercial conversations and decision-making.
- Collaborative approach with experience working cross-functionally across multiple departments.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing to team success.
