Do you love talking to people? Do you like being busy and working within a close-knit team? Our client, a well-established and stable business, is growing and would love to add another Account Manager to their department.
No two days will be the same as you will be speaking to existing customers that are placing orders and your role will play a key role in making sure that they get what they need. Long term customer relationship management is vital to our client so ideally you will be the type of person that is proactive and care about doing a great job whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
Monday to Friday 8h30 to 17h00 office based with fantastic benefits which include free lunch Friday, regular celebratory BBQ’s, holiday buy/sell scheme (up to three days extra), Dress down Friday.
You will be the trusted internal point of contact for key accounts, ensuring every enquiry, order and request is handled with accuracy, speed and a customer-first mindset.
As the Account Manager you will:
- Handle incoming sales enquiries and customer orders via telephone and email
- Process sales orders, quotations and web-generated orders
- Manage the shared sales inbox, ensuring all emailed enquiries and orders are actioned promptly
- Complete sales administration
- Process customer returns
- Arrange literature and sample requests as required
As the Account Manager you will be:
- Act as the internal account manager for key customers, monitoring activity and ensuring service excellence
- Liaise with Purchasing, Accounts and Logistics teams to fulfil customer requirements
- Obtain supplier quotations for bespoke or special-order products
- Arrange B2B purchase orders when required
- Implement price increases in line with business requirements to maintain and grow gross profit
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity within the team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in internal sales, account management or customer service within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills — confident on the phone and clear in written communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Proactive mindset with a drive to deliver exceptional customer service
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with purchasing, logistics and finance teams
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Merlin, Phocas) is beneficial but not essential
