Job Title: Internal Sales Executive – Internal Sales (Construction & Manufacturing)
Location: Wakefield area
Salary: 30k to 35k (DOE)
Role Overview
This is an internal Sales role within a UK-based manufacturing company, focused on leading the internal sales function, managing key customer accounts, and working closely with production and operational teams.
The position is office-based and combines commercial leadership with operational oversight in a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing organisation.
You will be working closely with the business owner in developing sales strategies & pursuing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Executive
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, merchants, trade customers, and end users.
- Maintain accurate customer records and support ongoing account development.
- Prepare quotations, arrange product samples, and negotiate sales opportunities.
- Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to order completion.
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Proactively generate and follow up on sales leads.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in account management & sales
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused & target driven approach.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using CRM systems.
Desirable
- Experience within the building materials, construction, manufacturing, or supply industries.
- Experience working with architects, contractors and builder merchants.
