Adele Carr Recruitment – Interim Accountant
Location: Birkenhead
You will be working closely with the Finance lead and supporting the Finance team, you will take responsibility for key month-end activities, improve processes, and provide additional support across the finance function.
Preference would be someone available full time in the office, although candidates available 3-4 days per week will be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting month-end close activities
- Posting journals and ensuring accurate financial records
- Managing banking processes and reconciliations
- Supporting cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Processing monthly payroll for approximately 120 salaried employees
- Managing payroll adjustments including overtime, bonuses and other changes
- Reviewing and improving existing finance processes
- Supporting the team with system improvements and automation
About you:
- SME finance/accounting background is essential
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Confident managing month-end processes independently
- Good payroll knowledge and experience in SAGE Payroll
- Strong working knowledge of SAGE is required
