Role Overview
We are working with our client to identify a highly experienced Audit Manager to join their team in the vibrant Manchester City Centre. This role involves managing a portfolio of audit clients with fees of at least £400K per annum, ensuring all assignments are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to the required technical and quality standards.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the operational management of audit engagements, including planning, execution, review, and completion. They will ensure audit files are prepared in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and are of an appropriate standard for Senior Managers and RI review. Additionally, the role involves managing budgets and fee targets on individual assignments, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to optimise service delivery and client satisfaction.
Ideal Experience
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of audit clients with fees of at least £400K annually
- Strong background within a traditional accounting or audit firm
- Exceptional knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs)
- Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
- Experience in planning, executing, reviewing, and completing audit engagements
- Capable of managing budgets and fee targets proactively
- Committed to maintaining high professional and technical standards
