Accounts and Audit Manager – Cardiff – £40,000 – £55,000

A highly respected and successful accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Accounts and Audit Manager to join its Cardiff-based team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you'll take ownership of both audit and accounts assignments whilst leading, mentoring and developing members of the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take on greater responsibility within a supportive and progressive firm.
Main duties to include:
-Managing a diverse portfolio of audit and accounts clients across a range of sectors
-Planning, overseeing and completing audit assignments from start to finish
-Reviewing statutory accounts and ensuring work is delivered to a consistently high technical standard
-Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and providing proactive advice
-Managing workflow, ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
-Leading, mentoring and developing junior members of the audit and accounts team
-Working closely with Partners to identify opportunities to add value for clients and support the continued growth of the practice
-Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and regulatory requirements
This role would suit ACA or ACCA qualified accountants with significant experience gained within an accountancy practice environment. You'll have a strong technical background across both audit and accounts, previous experience managing client relationships and the confidence to oversee multiple assignments simultaneously.
Previous experience leading audit assignments and reviewing the work of more junior colleagues is essential.
