About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process billing requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring invoices are issued in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Project Support Services Supervisor to ensure all billing activities are accurate and up to date.
- Respond to customer queries professionally and provide customer statements when required.
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Manage credit control activities, following up on outstanding payments and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Upload bank statements to the ledger, allocate receipts, and reconcile bank accounts.
- Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have –
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Previous Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger experience (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
