Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions and maintaining financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation specialising in financial services. The ideal applicant will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong data entry capabilities, contributing to the smooth running of our accounts department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks
  • Input data accurately into systems like Workday and other relevant platforms
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports as required
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing queries and payment status
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and financial regulations
  • Perform routine data entry tasks to update financial information efficiently
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Workday, PeopleSoft or similar platforms
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with accounts payable processes and financial transactions
  • Knowledge of financial services industry standards and practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining organisational accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Ideally AAT Level 4 trained

Due to location of the office you must have your own licence and access to your own vehicle.
