We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established lettings agency in Durham. This role is perfect for a finance professional with strong expertise in Sage Line 50, looking to become part of a supportive and growing team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Data entry using Sage Line 50 Accounts.
- Reconciling bank, cash, and credit card accounts.
- Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers.
- Preparing, submitting, and reconciling VAT returns.
- Posting journals including prepayments and accruals.
- Full trial balance reconciliation at year end.
- Ensuring compliance with Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
- Posting invoices raised and rental income received.
- Reconciling client deposits received and repaid.
- Chasing rental arrears where required.
- Supporting with general office administration and client liaison.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ Sage Line 50 experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
