Accounts Assistant (Part Time – Up to 25 Hours)

Reed Accountancy are pleased to be working with an innovative and forward-thinking business who are looking to welcome a Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper into their friendly and supportive team.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of the finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, while also getting involved in wider finance activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintaining Sage 50 bookkeeping records
- Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash
- Processing foreign currency transactions
- Managing the sales ledger, including:
- Producing customer statements
- Proactive credit control and chasing overdue payments
- Setting up new accounts and reviewing credit applications
- Processing credit card receipts
- Supporting the purchase ledger, including:
- Posting and checking invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Preparing payment runs
- Posting monthly prepayments and accruals
- Handling finance queries via email and phone
- Supporting with cash flow, budgeting and general finance admin
About You
- Previous experience in an account's role
- Confident with credit control and managing aged debt
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- A clear and professional communicator
