Accounts Assistant (Part Time – Up to 25 Hours)

Hybrid | Permanent

Reed Accountancy are pleased to be working with an innovative and forward-thinking business who are looking to welcome a Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper into their friendly and supportive team.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of the finance function. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, while also getting involved in wider finance activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining Sage 50 bookkeeping records
  • Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash
  • Processing foreign currency transactions
  • Managing the sales ledger, including:
    • Producing customer statements
    • Proactive credit control and chasing overdue payments
    • Setting up new accounts and reviewing credit applications
  • Processing credit card receipts
  • Supporting the purchase ledger, including:
    • Posting and checking invoices
    • Supplier statement reconciliations
    • Preparing payment runs
  • Posting monthly prepayments and accruals
  • Handling finance queries via email and phone
  • Supporting with cash flow, budgeting and general finance admin

About You

  • Previous experience in an account's role
  • Confident with credit control and managing aged debt
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A clear and professional communicator
