Accountancy Action
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong Xero experience who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support across transactional finance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Raising and managing sales invoices and customer billings
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Resolving invoice queries and liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Assisting with month-end procedures and finance reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting duties
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role
- Strong hands-on experience using Xero is essential
- Excellent understanding of billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and transactional accounting
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and work autonomously
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Available to start at short notice
