Accounts Assistant

£28,000 to £30,000 · Full time · London · Hybrid

We are working with a leading live music and music management company. If you are looking to build a career in finance, work with an impressive client base and be genuinely supported along the way, this could be the role for you.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining books and records on Sage Line 50 and Xero for limited companies, LLPs and sole traders
  • Cash book management and bank reconciliations
  • Raising and posting sales invoices and reviewing outstanding debtors
  • Processing purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements and managing creditors
  • Posting and reconciling credit card transactions
  • Preparing VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements
  • Managing client cashflow and setting up approved bank payments
  • Liaising with banks, suppliers, clients and colleagues as needed
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc projects

What they're looking for

  • 1 to 2 years of experience within a media, music or entertainment practice. This is a must.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A confident communicator, comfortable with clients and colleagues alike
  • Able to use their own initiative and work well in a team

A genuine interest in the music industry is a real plus.
