Client Details
We are looking for a proactive and organised Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team in Atherton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience with strong Accounts Payable knowledge.
You'll support the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are accurate, deadlines are met, and processes run efficiently.
Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include:
- Daily bank reconciliations using Sage 200
- Processing financial transactions
- Raising customer invoices
- Resolving invoice and payment queries with customers and suppliers
- Processing recovery payments
- Managing online orders
- Processing daily bank payments
- Weekly credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining the sales ledger
- Processing purchase invoices, matching, batching and coding
- Processing monthly supplier payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations and month-end reconciliations
- Reconciling petty cash
- Assisting with weekly payroll
- Managing company fines and associated administration
Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable role
- Experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous
- Good understanding of purchase ledger processes
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Job Offer
