Hours: Part-Time, 16-20 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)
Our client is a highly successful and well-established SME based in Sheffield, with an excellent reputation built over many years of trading. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional looking for flexible working hours within a stable and supportive business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Assisting with credit control activities
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records
- Bank reconciliations
- Supporting month-end procedures
- Maintaining and updating accounting systems
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function
The Person
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper or similar role
- Possess strong numerical and reconciliation skills
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Be able to work independently and manage their workload effectively
- Demonstrate a professional and proactive approach
