Reporting to the Financial Controller, this friendly accounts team is looking for immediate support from an Accounts Payable Assistant. Offered on a temporary basis, with the potential of becoming permanent, they're in need of someone who can step in straightaway and hit the ground running.

*TEMP* Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Process incoming invoices and ensure they align with agreements and contracts
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues and rectify invoice discrepancies
- Handle incoming suppliers' queries and keep on top of the team inbox
- Prepare payment lists and make payments in line with agreements
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure all processes run smoothly
*TEMP* Accounts Payable Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role
- A degree in finance would be desirable, as would accounting qualifications such as AAT
- Possesses a good understanding of VAT and invoicing
- Excellent IT skills, proficient in Excel and accounting software
- Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and is able to work with accuracy
- Natural team player who works well as part of a team and has the initiative to work independently
