An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a fast-paced international business supporting finance operations across the EMEA region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with high volume purchase ledger experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants exposure to a large, multinational finance function. You'll be joining a supportive team environment with plenty of variety, responsibility and opportunities to develop your finance career.
Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Maintain supplier accounts and resolve invoice or payment queries in a timely manner
- Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring requests are actioned promptly
- Review and validate purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Assist with weekly payment runs and supplier payment processing
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain vendor master data
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Work closely with colleagues across finance to ensure accurate processing and reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and process improvement initiatives
Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements
- Previous Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience
- Comfortable working in a high volume processing environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding PO and non PO invoicing
- Experience working with multi-currency transactions would be advantageous
- Strong Excel
- SAP experience would be highly desirable
- Previous experience within an FMCG, retail, manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environment
