An established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team. This role is primarily focused on accounts preparation for Limited company OMBs. The successful candidate will manage assignments from planning through to completion for partner review, while working closely with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. The position also offers the opportunity to support and mentor junior staff within a collaborative practice environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Preparation and completion of statutory accounts for Limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Managing assignments from planning stage through to final partner review.
- Preparing accounts working papers, supporting schedules, and file documentation.
- Liaising directly with clients, finance teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards including FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Assisting with workflow management, job allocation, and progress tracking across assignments.
- Working with a diverse client base across a broad range of industries.
Personal Requirements
- 7+ years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong accounts preparation experience for Limited company OMBs.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts end-to-end.
- Good knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff.
- Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, CCH, or similar.
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience considered.
