Team Leader

• Hourly Rate: £16 Paye / £19 Umbrella – per hour 
• Location: Chessington
• Job Type: Temporary Contract (2 Months)

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations and support a busy team in the Chessington area. This 2-month temporary assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can motivate others, and leads by example to achieve operational targets.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
• Allocate workloads and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Monitor performance and provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Support with training and onboarding of new starters.
• Handle team queries, issues, and escalation points professionally.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, or system updates as required.
• Liaise with management to ensure smooth operational flow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Highly organised with good attention to detail.
• Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach.
• Good basic IT skills (e.g., Excel, internal systems).

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, retail, or operational environments.
• Knowledge of performance metrics or KPI tracking.
• Experience managing shift-based teams.
