Safeguarding (Transition) Administrator

- Hours: 36 per week/7 hours per day starting at 8.30 with a 30 minute lunch break
We are seeking a Safeguarding (Transition) Administrator to manage the transfer of safeguarding information for students entering Years 7 and 12. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their critical transition phases supporting the Safeguarding Lead
Day-to-day of the role:
- Liaise with Designated Safeguarding Leads at feeder schools to secure necessary safeguarding files.
- Manage and process both paper and electronic files, ensuring their integration into the school's safeguarding system (CPOMS).
- Identify and flag potentially vulnerable students to the pastoral teams.
- Maintain a central log tracking the status of all safeguarding file receipts and necessary escalations.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High literacy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT, preferably with Google Sheets experience.
- Knowledge of legal data handling requirements.
- Previous safeguarding experience or knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) preferred.
