They are currently seeking an experienced administrator who is able to support members of the public in supplying information on services and offering guidance on a wide range of matters.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced administrator who is passionate about helping people, managing sensitive data/information, and supporting individuals to gain the right information in a timely manner.
The Role
As an Advocacy Support Officer, you’ll act as the first point of contact for individuals seeking guidance or raising concerns about healthcare or social care services.
You will play a key role in supporting a team of Advocates by coordinating casework, managing communications, and ensuring every case is handled efficiently and professionally.
Salary, Benefits and Hours of Work
- Hourly Rate £14.56 p/h
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- Hours of Work: 8.30am – 4.30pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm
- Auto enrolment pension scheme
- 20 Days Holiday + 8 Days Bank Holiday
Duties and Responsibilities
- Acting as the initial contact for the public via phone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
- Providing clear information on processes and managing expectations
- Coordinating diaries, appointments, and caseloads support staff
- Preparing correspondence, reports, and case documentation
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records using internal systems
- Supporting meetings, including note-taking and follow-up actions
- Liaising with public sector providers, local authorities, and partner organisations
- Assisting with data analysis and producing reports on service activity
About You
- Proven experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using IT systems and managing data
- Able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Experience working with the public or within healthcare/public services is beneficial
