We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our diverse team. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families, advocating for their rights, and helping them navigate complex social systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs and develop personalised support plans.
- Provide guidance and resources to individuals and families facing unauthorised challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to secure necessary services and support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, educators, and legal professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with organisational policies and legal standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and diversity training to enhance cultural competence.
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment for clients and colleagues from all backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Valid license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Strong understanding of issues related to unauthorised social challenges and the ability to provide nonjudgmental support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to inclusively.
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds.
- Experience in case management and crisis intervention is preferred.
- Proficiency in documenting and managing confidential information.
Day-to-Day
- Engage with clients through home visits, interviews, and community outreach.
- Coordinate support services such as housing, healthcare, and legal assistance.
- Attend team meetings to discuss case progress and share insights.
- Respond promptly to crises or urgent client needs with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and empowerment both within the team and with clients.
