Air Conditioning and Gas Engineer

At Walsh Solutions we’re looking for a skilled Air Conditioning & Gas Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you’ll be carrying out installations, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning systems and gas boiler installations , servicing and general plumbing work across mainly domestic settings. You’ll need strong technical knowledge, F-Gas and Gas safe certification and the ability to deliver work to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This is a hybrid role covering the Hertfordshire, Home Counties & North London.

A professional manner, clear communication, and excellent customer service are key, as you’ll be supporting clients with everything from new system installs to keeping existing equipment running at its best.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units and systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of air conditioning systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Install domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of air conditioning systems during building projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Gas Safe registered engineer
  • Fully qualified F- Gas registered engineer
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in air conditioning and heating installation and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to HVAC systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Up to date DBS check
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A proactive 'can do' attitude
