Air Conditioning Engineer – Service – Mostly Midlands, occasional travel further. – £46k

Working for a local, well respected mechanical contractor, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of air conditioning maintenance, reactive service, and repair operations

Carrying out day-to-day delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive call-outs, repairs, and minor works.

  • Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
  • Attend technical support calls and complex breakdowns requiring senior engineering expertise.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to service engineers and apprentices.
  • Conduct site surveys and condition assessments.
  • Assist with commissioning and handover of new installations.
  • Produce detailed service reports and recommendations for clients.
  • Support out-of-hours emergency call-out requirements when necessary.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience on split systems, VRV/VRF, chillers, and heat pumps.
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC industry standards and regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong IT and reporting skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • PASMA, IPAF, and CSCS.
  • Manufacturer training certifications (Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Fujitsu, LG, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc.)
