Air Freight Import Coordinator – Feltham
Our client is seeking an experienced Air Freight Import Coordinator to join their established freight forwarding team based in Feltham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in air freight imports who is looking to develop their knowledge across all areas of multimodal freight forwarding, including air, sea, road, exports, and courier services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage air freight import shipments from start to finish.
- Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, and transport providers.
- Prepare and process import documentation.
- Support sea freight and export operations when required.
- Develop knowledge across all modes of transport as part of a multimodal operation.
- Provide occasional support with local collections and deliveries during periods of driver annual leave.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in air freight imports.
- Sea freight knowledge would be advantageous.
- Export experience is desirable but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and develop across all areas of multimodal freight forwarding.
- Live locally to Feltham or within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Full UK driving license (essential). The role includes occasional local driving duties to provide holiday cover for the driver's annual leave, involving the collection of small packages from a local location and delivery to courier depots near Heathrow.
- Hands-on, flexible approach with a willingness to support the wider operation when required.
