Air Imports Coordinator
Location: Heathrow, London
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Air Imports Coordinator to join a leading international freight forwarding and logistics organisation based in Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and dynamic air freight environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end air import process from shipment arrival through to final delivery.
- Liaise with overseas agents, airlines, customers, customs authorities, and transport providers.
- Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities and resolve any shipment issues promptly.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers.
- Arrange deliveries and ensure service levels are consistently achieved.
- Accurately enter shipment data into internal systems and maintain records.
- Handle invoicing, cost control, and file profitability where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and operational partners.
Requirements
- Previous experience within Air Imports Freight Forwarding is essential.
- Good understanding of customs procedures and import documentation.
- Experience working with airline and freight forwarding systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
