Art / DT Technician – Full Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Greenwich
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Art & Design Technology Technician looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Greenwich that prides itself on its positive working environment and commitment to staff development.
This is a full-time, five-day-per-week position, ideal for someone with previous experience in an Art and/or DT technician role and a strong practical knowledge of workshop and classroom support. A relevant degree is preferred.
The Role:
- Prepare materials, equipment and resources for Art and DT lessons.
- Maintain workshops, studios and specialist equipment to a high standard.
- Support teachers and students during practical lessons where required.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, including COSHH and risk assessments.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies and maintain equipment.
- Assist with the preparation of displays, exhibitions and school events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as an Art and/or DT Technician.
- Strong practical knowledge across Art and Design Technology disciplines.
- A relevant degree (preferred).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to supporting students in a creative learning environment.
