Art Teacher & General Cover – Widnes – September 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Widnes from September 2026.

This is a full-time teaching position for at least one term, combining the teaching of Art with general classroom cover where required. It is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and adaptable teacher who enjoys working across a variety of subjects while maintaining a specialism in Art.

The school is known for its inclusive ethos, high aspirations and commitment to providing students with a broad and engaging curriculum. The successful Art Teacher will primarily teach Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside delivering planned lessons across other curriculum areas during periods of general cover.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school
  • Be confident teaching Art at KS3 and KS4
  • Be comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects when required
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and adaptability
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

The role offers:

  • September 2026 start
  • Full-time position
  • Minimum one-term assignment
  • Daily pay from £168.80 to £232.56, depending on experience and teacher pay scale
  • Weekly pay through Tradewind Recruitment
