Asbestos Surveyor – Manchester
Location: Manchester (covering the North West) Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent | Full-time
A long-established asbestos consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to support a strong and consistent portfolio of work across Manchester and the wider North West. With the majority of projects based locally (including Manchester and Liverpool), this role offers stability, minimal travel disruption, and a well-structured working setup.
This position is ideal for a surveyor who prefers organised schedules, commercial-only work, and the autonomy of a field-based role without unnecessary office requirements.
What You'll Be Joining You'll be joining a reputable consultancy with an established client base across education and healthcare sectors. The business offers strong operational support, efficient systems, and a focus on delivering high-quality work without overloading staff.
Salary & Benefits £35,000 – £39,000 salary (DOE)
Company car or car allowance
Commercial-only workload (schools, hospitals, healthcare)
No office requirement – drop-and-go sampling system
Flexible structure: 4 days on site / 1 admin day from home
Long-term, stable position within a respected consultancy
The Role Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264
Surveying education and healthcare properties across the North West
Producing accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports
Managing your own workload with support from an established back-office team
Ensuring all work meets current legislation and HSE requirements
About You BOHS P402 (essential)
Proven experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor
Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and best practice
Confident working independently in a field-based role
Full UK driving licence
Professional, organised, and reliable
