Join Our Team – Skilled Assembly Operative Wanted (Chelmsford)
Are you hands-on, detail-focused, and ready to build a career in precision assembly? We're looking for a dedicated Assembly Operative to join our fast-paced, high-quality production team in Chelmsford.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working from production documents, procedures, and assembly drawings
- Building a wide variety of assemblies – no two days are the same
- Using mechanical tools, soldering equipment, and electrical test gear
- Handling fine, delicate work including precise wire crimping
- Operating automated equipment and ensuring calibration standards are met
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
- Comfortable handling different types of assembly tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible for overtime when needed
- A team player who works well alongside others
- Good eyesight (not colour blind) for precision tasks
- Confident using lifting equipment and pallet trucks
- Willing to wear PPE and follow safety procedures
- Comfortable working seated or standing as required
Key Skills That Will Make You Shine
- Experience with mechanical assembly tools
- Skilled in fine wire crimping and lead-free soldering
- Confident using electrical test equipment
- IT experience is highly advantageous
- Familiar with automated machinery and equipment calibration
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 6:30am – 12:30pm (early finish)
