Reed Accountancy are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our well-established client’s finance team, initially on an ongoing temporary basis however this could well become permanent for the right person.
This is a varied, reconciliation-focused position supporting day-to-day finance operations and the preparation for management accounts across the wider department.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Reconciliation of various bank accounts, receipts, credit cards and income across multiple companies.
- Pay suppliers, raise sales invoices and reconcile accruals and prepayment schedules.
- Prepare and process monthly journals.
- Managing accounts payable and expenses.
- Support credit control, including producing aged debtor reports.
- Support with producing the monthly management accounts information for review by the Management Accountant.
- Assist with preparing VAT returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in finance and reconciliations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with accounting software like Xero would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
