The Job
An Assistant Accountant will be hired for a 12 month contract to cover a period of maternity. Office based.
You will work in a small team covering a varied role manging day to day accounting tasks and supporting the wider finance function.
Key areas:
- Overseeing the purchase ledger
- Maintenance of fixed asset register
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Contributing towards the completion of monthly management accounts including journal postings and updating monthly schedules
- Ah hoc reporting and finance support
- Review payroll data for monthly payroll processing
- Monthly and ad hoc supplier payments

About You
- You will likely be at least AAT Qualified or Part Qualified
- Have experience of using Xero, beneficial
- Have great attention to detail, be curious and inquisitive in order to keep learning and growing
- Be able to manage workloads and to meet deadlines
- Have previous experience in a varied finance role including some management accounting experience
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude
