Assistant Accountant

Nenebrook Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding SME based in South Leicestershire in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant.
With ambitious growth plans and a future IPO on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at a pivotal stage in its development. Working closely alongside the Head of Finance, you will gain broad exposure across all aspects of the finance function while playing a key role in supporting the business's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger management
- Sales Ledger processing
- General Ledger maintenance
- Credit Control
- Cash and Banking administration
- Payment processing and reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll duties
- Supporting the Head of Finance with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Providing additional support across the wider business when required
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be studying towards or qualified in AAT, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
- Have a minimum of 2–3 years' experience within a similar accounts position
- Possess strong double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Enjoy working within a busy SME environment
- Be flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach across both finance and administrative tasks
