Bird Surveyors – Seasonal & Flexible Work
We are seeking experienced Bird Surveyors to support ecological projects across Essex and Suffolk. This role is ideal for ecologists with strong field skills and availability to work around species-specific survey windows.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake breeding bird, wintering bird, and other ornithological surveys
- Record and report survey data in line with current guidance
- Work across rural locations and development sites
- Attend sites during early mornings and seasonal survey periods
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience carrying out bird surveys
- Strong species identification skills (by sight and call)
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
- Ability to travel across Essex and Suffolk
Desirable
- Previous experience on construction or infrastructure projects
- CSCS Card (Green or White)
