About the Job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Fund Accountant to join a well-established fund accounting team. This role is ideally suited to an individual looking to build a long-term career as a fund accountant as you will be working closely with experienced colleagues, supporting the delivery of key accounting and reporting activities while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills.
Duties will include:
- Processing and maintaining accurate accounting records for a portfolio of fund structures.
- Performing bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assisting with investor drawdown and distribution processes.
- Preparing supporting information for tax-related submissions and compliance requirements.
- Contributing to the production of management accounts and periodic financial reports.
- Managing workloads effectively to meet agreed deadlines and service standards.
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to their work. You may already have experience within fund administration or accounting and be keen to study towards a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.
