Assistant Management Accountant | Temp | 3-months + | London | £22 per hour | Part-Time
For a well-established University in central London, we’re recruiting a temporary Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance team with the preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations. This role will suit someone at AAT or part-qualified level who is immediately available and able to roll up the sleeves and support with a number of different tasks.
This role is available on a part-time basis.
Main Duties:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting and reviewing journals – accruals, prepayments and adjustments
- Supporting the Head of Finance with the month-end processes
- Review ledger entries, ensuring accuracy of financial data across several systems
- Monitor expenses and cost allocations across Faculties
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles
Person Specification:
- Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA – or similar by experience) or AAT qualified
- Ideally a Higher Education (HE) or non-profit background
- Strong experience in management accounts preparation
- Strong experience of month-end processes and reconciliation
- Proactive, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
