Key Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in executing daily lesson activities and maintaining focus.

Lead tailored reading, phonics, and writing interventions for groups of varied abilities.

Provide empathetic 1:1 support for students with emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties (SEND).

Organise classroom equipment, distribute learning resources, and manage classroom displays.

Ensure a safe environment during morning drop-offs, lunch breaks, and outdoor play.

Communicate pupil achievements and any behavioural notes clearly to the lead teacher.
Requirements for the Role

Practical experience working alongside young children (school, nursery, coaching, or volunteering).

Good communication skills and a confident command of spoken and written English and Maths.

A patient, warm, and proactive demeanour with a willingness to learn on the job.

An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-moving, multi-disciplinary school team.
