We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help lead the warehouse team, oversee goods in and dispatch, maintain high standards of stock accuracy, and ensure excellent operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations including goods in, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Supervise warehouse operatives and agency staff.
- Manage stock and inventory adjustments.
- Process customer returns and rejected goods.
- Maintain health & safety standards across the warehouse and yard.
- Use WMS/ERP systems to manage stock movements and order processing.
- Assist with staff training and development.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager when required.
About You
- Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience.
- Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge.
- Experience using WMS or ERP systems.
- Confident leading and motivating teams.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Forklift licences (Counterbalance, Reach, PPT) desirable.
