The Opportunity
As an Audit Senior, you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with clients across a variety of sectors. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and financial reporting services while supporting and developing junior team members.
This position offers excellent exposure to a wide range of businesses, alongside a clear route for progression within a growing accountancy practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Managing audit fieldwork and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Identifying technical issues and providing practical solutions
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting, mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues
- Collaborating with managers and partners on complex assignments and advisory projects
What We're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience working within a UK practice environment
- Strong external audit experience with exposure to a varied client base
- Good understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong communication and client relationship-building abilities
- Experience reviewing work and supervising junior team members
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop your career within the accountancy profession
