Audit Senior

Salary: £42,000 – £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Kent (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

The Role

As an Audit Senior, you'll be responsible for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered to a high technical standard, within agreed budgets and deadlines. You'll work closely with managers, partners and clients while providing day-to-day guidance to more junior members of the audit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Organise and chair audit planning meetings with clients.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of Audit Semi Seniors and Audit Assistants.
• Prepare key audit documentation, reports and completion files.
• Identify technical issues and work with managers to resolve more complex matters.
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the audit process.
• Build long-term client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, engagement documentation and internal quality standards.
• Monitor workflow, budgets and deadlines across your assignments.
• Support wider members of the audit team when required.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Previous experience leading external audit assignments.
• Strong knowledge of UK audit standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
