Audit Senior / Audit Semi-Senior

Reed is collaborating with a top 50 Accountancy firm to recruit an Audit Senior or Audit Semi-Senior for their Rickmansworth office. This role offers a great blend of professional development opportunities, work-life balance, and the chance to be part of an award-nominated Audit team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct audits for a diverse range of clients with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialist audits such as FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities, and schools.
- Plan, supervise, and carry out audits, ensuring completion with minimal supervision, on time and within budget.
- Supervise and assist junior staff with technical accounting and auditing issues.
- Prepare draft corporation tax computations and draft statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS102 from clients’ draft figures.
- Draft recommendations to management post-audit fieldwork.
- Prepare responses for group reporting for clients where we are the component auditor.
- Handle larger accounts preparation jobs for audit-exempt limited companies, partnerships, LLPs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualification preferred (degree not essential) or candidates sitting finals imminently.
- At least 2.5 years’ experience in a practice of similar size or larger, with consistent audit experience.
- Ability to prepare complete audit files for a variety of clients to a high standard with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, able to deal confidently and effectively with clients and staff.
- Capable of managing pure audits and complex records, working within deadlines and budgets.
Equipment used:
- Proficiency in using Proaudit, CCH Accounts Production (AP), Sage, Quick Books, Xero, Alphatax, and Microsoft Office is desirable. A laptop will be provided.
