Job Title: Vehicle Technician Location: Nottingham Hours: 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary pay rate: £19 per hour PAYE

Supporting manufacturers, leasing companies, fleet operators and dealerships, the business handles the movement, preparation and sale of vehicles across the UK.
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop team in Portbury. Working under the guidance of the Workshop Manager and Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are prepared and maintained to the highest standards for customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to join a well-established organisation offering either a permanent position or a temporary-to-permanent route.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. Undertake tyre fitting and replacement duties. Complete road tests, ramp tests and vehicle inspections as required. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in line with approved methods and manufacturer standards. Perform electrical diagnostics when required. Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales. Accurately complete all relevant documentation and job records. Support general workshop activities as required. Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when needed.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or similar. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) – essential. Full UK Driving Licence. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions when required. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Passion for the automotive industry and pride in delivering work to the highest standards. Willingness to support and share knowledge with less experienced team members.
