Awake Night Carer (Weekdays / Weekend / Evenings / Nights)
Location: Lindsay Court, 2 Eden Road, Croydon, CR0 1HA
Shifts: 9 pm to 9 am; 84 hours a fortnight on a rota basis (includes 45-minute paid break)
Salary: £14.99 rising to £15.51 per hour

Eldon Housing are looking for a dedicated Carer to join our Extra Care sheltered housing scheme in Croydon on a permanent contract as an Awake Night Carer, working night shifts. If you have the experience, we want to hear from you!

As a Carer you will be passionate about providing the very best care to our tenants.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for providing overnight care duties to tenants including assisting the tenants with personal care and medication when needed, carrying out welfare checks, ensuring accurate records are maintained and promoting a safe and secure environment throughout the night.
As someone who is truly caring, you will make sure that all the tenants’ general wellbeing and independence is at the heart of everything you do, giving them choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care.
What you’ll need
You will have at least an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent / working towards this) and/or the Care Certificate with excellent communication skills. Above all you will be passionate and caring with a professional attitude to work and a genuine belief in providing the best possible care to our tenants.
