Azure DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimising Azure-hosted environments, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
Working closely with Development, QA, Support, and Project teams, you'll play a key role in platform improvements, deployments, automation, and supporting cloud infrastructure across a modern microservices-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, maintain, and improve Azure cloud platforms and environments
* Support deployment pipelines and continuous delivery processes
* Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure and environment decisions
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues
* Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation solutions
* Participate in paid out-of-hours deployment activities and support rota
* Contribute to infrastructure automation and platform scalability initiatives
Skills & Experience
* 2+ years' experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
* Strong experience with:
* Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
* Docker (Linux & Windows)
* Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* CI/CD and Continuous Deployment practices
* Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances
* Azure Service Bus or similar messaging platforms
* PowerShell scripting
* Microsoft SQL Server
* Application monitoring and logging tools
* Experience supporting microservices-based architectures
* Knowledge of IIS, SSO, Cosmos DB, NGINX, and Azure Application Insights
* Platform performance tuning and optimisation experience
Desirable
* Bicep and ARM Templates
* Cloudflare
* Octopus Deploy
* C#/.NET knowledge
* Prometheus and Grafana
* Seq, Loki, or similar logging platforms
* Virtual machine administration
