Robert Half Technology are assisting a global sports manufacturing organisation in recruiting a Back end Engineer on a 6 month contract basis. This is an Inside IR35 opportunity with hybrid working arrangements, requiring 3 days per week onsite in London.
Role
- Design, build, and scale back end services to support internationalisation across a global Sports manafacturing organisations eCommerce platform.
- Develop services enabling multi-language configuration and region-specific behaviour.
- Support currency handling, pricing logic, and transaction flows across multiple markets.
- Integrate new platform capabilities into the existing Live ecosystem.
- Contribute to a shared transaction layer used across multiple products and services.
- Collaborate with front end and mobile engineers to deliver consistent user experiences globally.
- Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability within a live production environment.
- Participate in API and platform design decisions, working within an evolving architecture.
Profile
- The Back end Engineer will have 4+ years of back end development experience.
- Strong experience in API and service development.
- Proven experience working on transaction systems, payments, or eCommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with GraphQL is preferred.
- Experience with back end technologies such as Elixir, Go, or similar.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.

Salary & Benefits
The salary range / day rate is dependent upon your experience, qualifications, and training.
Contract Length
Minimum 6 months, with potential for extension subject to project requirements and performance.
