Pertemps Medical are currently recruiting experienced Band 6 Nurses to support a lung screening programme across Leicester, Derby and Northampton.

- Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Monday – Sunday)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Agency / Temporaryq Competitive rates, aligned to experience and engagement model
Job responsibilities As a Band 6 Lung Screening Nurse, you will:
- Deliver lung screening and health check services in line with programme requirements
- Undertake patient assessments, including history taking and clinical observations
- Support individuals through the screening pathway, ensuring understanding and engagement
- Provide health promotion and smoking cessation advice where appropriate
- Identify and escalate abnormal findings in line with clinical guidance
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory and radiology
- Ensure adherence to clinical governance, safety and infection control protocols
- Support efficient clinic delivery and patient flow
- Work across multiple sites (Leicester, Derby, Northampton) as required
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential:
- Experience working at Band 6 level (or equivalent)
- Experience in respiratory, screening or general nursing
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience in lung screening or health check programmes
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations
Requirements (Agency Compliance)
- Valid NMC Registration (Adult Nurse)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS
- Up-to-date Mandatory Training (BLS, Safeguarding, etc.)
- Occupational Health Clearance
- Minimum 6 months recent UK experience
