The Role – Behaviour Mentor

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support KS2 pupils who require additional guidance with behaviour, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement. You will work on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, using positive behaviour strategies to encourage confidence, independence, and improved learning outcomes. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you will help implement behaviour plans and create a supportive environment where pupils can thrive. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and confident managing challenging behaviour. Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, SEMH, or related needs is highly desirable.

The School – Behaviour Mentor

This welcoming primary school in Hackney educates pupils aged 3-11 and is a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station. The school provides an inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and academic progress while ensuring pupils with SEN, including ADHD and SEMH, receive effective support. The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
