Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in Slough to join a supportive and welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact by supporting pupils who require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
This Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant role in Slough will involve working closely with pupils who may present challenging behaviour or require extra support to remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
The Role – Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (Slough):
- Provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural needs
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to encourage positive behaviour and engagement
- Implement behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support
- Support the class teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment
- Work alongside the SENCO and pastoral team to support pupil development
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH or SEN
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
