The Role
Lake District Farmers is seeking a motivated and reliable Burger and Sausage Maestro to support the production of our high-quality burgers and sausages. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team dedicated to producing premium products using locally sourced ingredients and maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety.
Experience is preferred, but it's not everything. We're looking for the right person – someone with a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and values that align with our team. If you're willing to learn and have the drive to succeed, we'll provide the training and support to help you develop into the role.
Contracted 40 hours weekly to be worked across Monday to Thursday; every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
Key responsibilities
- Make some banging sausage and burgers
- Assist in the preparation and production of burgers, sausages, and other meat products.
- Weigh, mix, and prepare ingredients according to production specifications.
- Operate and clean food processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support packing, labelling, and storage of finished products.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient handling.
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily production targets.
Requirements
Essential:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work in a chilled food production environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in food production, food manufacturing, or a similar role.
- Food Hygiene qualification.
- Experience working with meat products or food processing equipment.
