Macildowie are working with a leading client based in Chelmsford to recruit a Business Development Director for a rapidly growing technology and business transformation organisation. Operating across international markets, the business helps enterprise organisations overcome data complexity, improve decision-making and unlock measurable business outcomes through innovative technology, analytics and AI-driven solutions.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven enterprise sales professional to join a high-growth organisation at a pivotal stage of its journey. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in driving revenue growth, shaping go-to-market strategy and securing transformational partnerships with enterprise clients.
The Opportunity
This is a true new business role where you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and converting strategic opportunities across large and complex organisations. You'll engage directly with senior decision-makers, helping them address operational, financial and technology challenges through consultative solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic new business plan focused on enterprise client acquisition
- Build, manage and convert a high-value sales pipeline across multiple sectors
- Establish and nurture relationships with C-suite stakeholders including CFOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs and other senior leaders
- Lead consultative discovery meetings to understand client challenges and transformation objectives
- Collaborate with technical and solution specialists to develop compelling client propositions
- Manage complex sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
- Create robust commercial proposals, business cases and value-led presentations
- Represent the organisation at industry events, networking forums and partner engagements
- Provide market insight and customer feedback to support future growth and product development
About You
- Proven experience within enterprise B2B sales, technology sales or business transformation environments
- Demonstrable success winning and closing six-figure strategic deals
- Strong track record of generating new business opportunities and building pipeline from scratch
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and influencing decision-making processes
- Strong commercial acumen with a consultative, solution-led approach
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and compelling way
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to make a significant impact
